The iPhone is unusual on this site: its dollar price has barely moved. Apple launched the iPhone 6s at $649 in 2015 and the base model has sat at $799 since 2021. The dollar chart uses the US launch price of the cheapest new flagship each September. The orange chart divides that price by the four year average Bitcoin price.

That flat dollar line makes the comparison sharper, not weaker: even a price that did not rise in dollars collapsed when measured in Bitcoin. Each year's phone is also a better phone, which is true of most electronics. As everywhere on this site, the charts record what happened and do not predict what comes next.
